Content Editor and Proofreader

**Company : Kidvento Education and Research**

**Position: Content Editor and Proofreader**

**Location: Mysore**

**Remuneration: Rs 5 Lakhs - Rs 6.5Lakhsper Annum**

**Experience: 3+ Years**

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

- Read and evaluate written text for grammatical and typographical error
- Analyse documents to ensure topic titles match the list of contents
- Identify errors or omissions, highlight the errors, mark corrections and ensure they reflect on the Quality check proof set.
- Ensure zero factual errors and absolute correctness of the content according to age specified
- Check the stories, examples and depiction meeting the context appropriately
- Ensure religious/race/gender-neutral content
- Ensure symbols and units that are used in the content are standard and recognized by printing and publishing companies
- Evaluate images, text spacing and positioning to ensure they conform to video instruction standards
- Rephrase written text to ensure document structure and content are consistent
- Stay abreast with grammatical development as well as new terminologies in a language
- Ensure illustrations are suitably captioned and referenced
- Contact content developers and team leads directly to clarify grammatical and conceptual inconsistencies
- Forward proofread materials for approval
- Check appropriate font, alignment, capitalization, indents, casing, etc in the video instruction and report the errors in the review sheet.
- Ensure the task is completed within set time constraints.
- Ensure accurate and well-presented video instructions
- Visualise the written content developed into apt visuals relevant to context and age also guide the content developers.
- Able to identify the missing elements in a content and also suggest various engaging elements in a video content.
- Carry out in-depth review of the videos as per the strategies developed in-house, identify the errors and bugs and illustrate the ideal engagement graphically.

Pre-requisite Skills:

- Able to use specialised software to check grammar and plagiarism
- Should have excellent command over the English language
- Must have an eye for detail and be able to comprehend content quickly
- Able to manage multiple assignments parallelly and meet deadlines
- Should be able to put across the viewpoints amicably both through written and verbal communication
- Is comfortable using Google workspace
- Prior experience in proofreading, editing and reviewing of academic video contents.
- Creative mindset and collaborative skills are mandatory
- Prior experience in handling children's learning process is mandatory.
- Prior experience in the field of EdTech in product development domain will be an added advantage

Educational Qualification:

- Master’s degree in any field specified above Or a degree in mass communication/journalism/advertising/marketing.
- B.Ed or a diploma in education is preferred.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹650,000.00 per year
