**Job role : Database administrator**

1. Job Role: The DBA is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and security measures of databases

including monitoring and updating patches to combat potential security breaches, need to own the DB

change management and database access management

2. Responsibilities and Authorities
- Monitoring system performance and identifying problems that arise. Protecting the database against

threats or unauthorized access. Ensuring that the database is adequately backed up and able to be

recovered in the event of memory loss.
- Reporting on metrics regarding usage and performance.
- Suggesting changes and improvements for database maintenance or protection.

Managing all aspects of an Oracle database including installation, configuration, design, and data

migration

3. Role Criteria

3.1 Skills
- Oracle, PostgresDB Administration
- Experience in Monog DB and MySQL
- Experience in PL/SQL
- Experience in Oracle Physical Standby setup
- Experience in Database performance Tuning
- Experience Unix operating System
- Analytical mindset and good problem-solving skills
- Support incident investigation and event analysis

3.2 Qualification, Experience, Training
- B-tech/ Bachelor of Computer Science
- Minimum of 4+ years of experience as a DBA administrator
