**SQL Server Database Administrator (DBA)**

**Job Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Install, configure, and maintain **Microsoft SQL Server**:

- Ensure the availability, performance, and security of database instances across production, development, and testing environments.
- Proactively monitor database performance, optimize queries, and perform tuning tasks to ensure optimal performance.
- Implement and manage database backup, recovery, and failover procedures.
- Design and implement high-availability and disaster recovery (HA/DR) strategies, including **SQL Server Clustering**, **Always On Availability Groups**, and **Replication**.
- Work with development teams to design and optimize SQL queries, indexes, and stored procedures.
- Perform regular security audits, including user access controls and security patches, to ensure data is secure and compliant with organizational standards.
- Plan and execute database upgrades, migrations, and patches.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive database documentation, including architecture, configurations, and troubleshooting guides.
- Automate routine database administration tasks using **PowerShell**, **T-SQL**, or other scripting languages.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including network engineers, system administrators, and developers, to solve complex database issues.
- Provide on-call support for critical production databases in a 24/7 environment.

**Required Skills & Qualifications**:

- **Bachelor’s degree** in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 4+ years of experience as a **SQL Server Database Administrator**.
- Proficiency in **SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS)** and advanced **T-SQL** scripting.
- Strong experience with **SQL Server High Availability (HA)** and **Disaster Recovery (DR)** technologies, including **Failover Clustering**, **Replication**, **Mirroring**, and **Always On Availability Groups**.
- Expertise in database performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing strategies.
- Experience with **SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)**, **SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)**, and **SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS)**.
- In-depth knowledge of **backup/restore strategies**, database snapshots, and point-in-time recovery.
- Experience with database security, including data encryption, user roles, and access controls.
- Familiarity with **Windows Server** operating systems and **Active Directory**.
- Experience with **PowerShell** or other scripting languages for automating DBA tasks.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot database-related issues in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- **Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate** or similar certification.
- Experience with **Azure SQL Database**, **Amazon RDS**, or other cloud-based database platforms.
- Knowledge of **database auditing** and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
