Chinese Chef

The Chef is responsible foe the preparation and execution of authentic and innovative Chinese Cuisine. The role requires a deep understanding of traditional Chinese cooking techniques, reginal culinary styles and a commitment to maintain high standards of food quality, hygiene and kitchen management. The Chinese Chef will lead the kitchen team, develop menus and ensures a seamless and efficient operation to provide an exccptional dinning experience.

**Key Responsibilities:

- **

**- Culinary Operations**:
**- Prepare and cook a wide variety of Chinese dishes, including but not limited to, stir-fries, steamed dishes, braised meats, and momos.**

**- Master and utilize traditional Chinese cooking methods such as wok hei, steaming, braising, and roasting.**

**- Ensure all food is prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients and in accordance with established recipes and portion sizes.**

**- Maintain a consistent and high-quality product in terms of taste, texture, and presentation.**

**- Menu Development & Innovation**:
**- Plan and develop menus, including daily specials, that are both authentic and appealing to guests.**

**- Stay informed of culinary trends and incorporate innovative techniques to create new and exciting dishes while honoring tradition.**

**- Collaborate with the management team to align menu offerings with the restaurant's vision and financial goals.**

**- Kitchen Management**:
**- Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring they adhere to all food preparation, cooking, and safety standards.**

**- Delegate tasks and manage kitchen operations to ensure timely and efficient service, especially during peak hours.**

**- Manage inventory, including ordering ingredients, controlling food costs, and minimizing waste.**

**- Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly used and maintained.**

**- Hygiene and Safety**:
**- Enforce and maintain strict adherence to all food safety and sanitation regulations (e.g., HACCP standards).**

**- Ensure the kitchen, storage areas, and all workstations are kept clean, organized, and hygienic at all times.**

**- Conduct regular inspections of the kitchen to ensure compliance with health and safety protocols.**

**- Team Leadership and Communication**:
**- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.**

**- Provide clear direction and guidance to the culinary team.**

**- Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff to ensure a smooth flow of service and address any guest feedback.**

**Qualifications**:
**- Experience**:
**- Proven experience as a Chinese Chef or in a similar culinary role within a professional kitchen setting (e.g., Chinese restaurant or hotel) Freshers can also apply.**

**- Demonstrable expertise in a specific regional Chinese cuisine (e.g., Cantonese, Sichuan, etc.) is a plus.**

**- Skills**:
**- Exceptional knowledge of Chinese culinary techniques, ingredients, and flavor profiles.**

**- Strong knife skills and proficiency with commercial kitchen equipment, particularly woks and steamers.**

**- Creative and innovative approach to menu development and food presentation.**

**- Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills.**

**- Solid understanding of food safety, sanitation, and hygiene regulations.**

**- Ability to work efficiently and calmly in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.**

**- Time management and organizational skills.**

**- Education: No minimum Qualification**

**Working Conditions**:
**- The role involves standing for long periods and working in a fast-paced environment with high temperatures.**

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
