**Responsibilities**:

- Work in partnership with the senior analyst to conduct extensive company and industry research
- Build and maintain detailed company financial models, analyze industry data and develop sector databases
- Review annual reports, financial filings, trade publications, and other sources in order to gather, synthesize and interpret data
- Write company reports, industry reports and investment recommendations
- Keep abreast of market, company and industry news
- Conduct channel checks, make company visits and attend industry conferences
- Assist with existing coverage and contribute to new company initiations
- Communicate with internal sales force, institutional clients and company management teams
- Sectors - Utilities/Power/Metal/Mining/Cement

**Job Requirements**:

- Strong academic background, with a focus on accounting, finance, or economics preferred - CA/CFA and/or MBA from a top tier institute
- Relevant experience of working in equity research (either front or back end), consulting or any other finance role, ideally with focus on utilities/energy transition
- Proficient at financial modeling and demonstrates strong analytical and financial skills
- Ability to multi-task with strong attention to detail
- the associate position is a demanding and fast-paced job that requires the ability to think quickly on one's feet and work independently
- Creative thinker with strong problem-solving skills : working with large data sets in Excel/Access, and ability to source and process information independently
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
