**Your Role and Responsibilities**

Sybase Database administration

Handle & represent in Major Incident, Problem Record and other client Calls

Good knowhow of DB performance related skills

Drive initaitiaves to make impact to client business

Groom and mentor team down the line
**Required Technical and Professional Expertise**

1. About 7-10 Yrs Relevant Experience as Sybase DBA.

2. 24/7 support of production database services to ensure the highest standards of availability, resilience, integrity, security and performance required by business systems

3. Sybase ASE Installation, Good troubleshooting skills especially on Sybase ASE Performance & Tuning, Sybase Replication, clustering etc

4. Management & maintenance of back-ups & recovery policies/procedures.

5. Database Security and Audit: Creating user logins with appropriate roles, dropping and locking the logins, monitoring the user accounts, creation of groups, granting the privileges to users and groups, assigning the users to particular groups. Enabling Sybase auditing as per business requirement.

6. Creating Database and Device: Initializing database devices, Creating / altering/dropping Database.

7. Creation and maintenance of SQL queries and routines required for Administration, monitoring of DBs etc.

8. Perform security heath checks and remedy gaps as required

10. Reviewing and tuning T-SQL queries.

11. Designing database packages and procedures.

**Preferred Technical and Professional Experience**

Effective communicator (both written & verbal), Quick learner, flexible and open for 24X7 support including weekends, good Interpersonal skills, Problem solving and diagnostic skills, Team working skills and Customer centric approach
**Required Education**

Bachelor's Degree

**Preferred Education**

Master's Degree
