Overview :We are seeking a skilled and experienced Database Administrator (DBA) with 5 to 10 years of hands-on experience to join our dynamic team in Noida.

As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for the management, optimization, and maintenance of our diverse database systems, ensuring high availability, security, and optimal performance across SQL, NoSQL, and cloud environments. You will play a critical role in maintaining the integrity, security, and accessibility of our data, contributing directly to the smooth operation of our business. Responsibilities :Database Administration & Maintenance :

• Install, configure, and maintain various database systems including PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MySQL, Cosmos DB, and Cassandra.
• Proactively monitor database performance and capacity, identifying and resolving potential issues.
• Implement and manage robust backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and business continuity.
• Apply database patches and upgrades in a timely and efficient manner.
• Manage user access and security permissions according to established policies.
• Troubleshoot database errors and performance bottlenecks effectively.

Performance Tuning and Optimization :

• Analyze database performance and identify areas for optimization.
• Develop and implement strategies for query optimization and performance enhancement.
• Monitor and manage database resource utilization (CPU, memory, disk

I/O) to ensure optimal performance and cost-efficiency. Cloud Database Management :

• Manage and maintain database instances in cloud environments, particularly Azure (AWS exposure is a plus).
• Implement and manage cloud-based database services like Azure Cosmos DB.
• Ensure the security and scalability of cloud-based database solutions.
• Monitor and optimize cloud database costs.

NoSQL Database Management :

• Administer and maintain NoSQL databases such as Cosmos DB and Cassandra.
• Understand NoSQL database concepts, data modeling, and query languages.
• Ensure the performance, availability, and scalability of NoSQL databases.

Caching Solutions :

• Implement and manage caching solutions like Redis to improve application performance.
• Monitor and optimize caching performance.

Security and Compliance :

• Implement and enforce database security measures, including encryption, access controls, and auditing.
• Ensure database systems comply with relevant security policies and regulations.

Collaboration and Documentation :

• Collaborate effectively with development teams, system administrators, and other stakeholders.
• Document database configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
• Participate in on-call rotation for critical database issues.

Resource and Cost Optimization :

• Monitor database resource utilization and identify opportunities for cost optimization.
• Implement strategies to optimize storage, compute, and other database-related costs.

Required Skills (Must-Have) :SQL/RDBMS :

• Extensive experience in managing and administering PostgreSQL.
• Strong proficiency in managing and administering SQL Server.
• Solid understanding and experience with MySQL.NoSQL :
• Proven experience working with Cosmos DB.
• Hands-on experience with Cassandra.

Caching Solutions :

• Experience implementing and managing Redis or similar caching technologies.

Cloud :

• Basic understanding and experience with Azure.
• Exposure to AWS is preferred.

Performance Tuning and Optimization :

• Strong skills in performance tuning and query optimization across different database platforms.

Resource Management :

• Experience in monitoring and optimizing database resource utilization.

Cost Optimization :

• Understanding of database cost optimization strategies.

Database Management Fundamentals :

• Comprehensive understanding of database backup, recovery, security, and integrity management principles and practices.

Good to Have Skills :Data Lake :

• Experience with Azure Data Lake or equivalent data lake technologies.

Scripting :

• Proficiency in Python scripting for database automation and management tasks.
