About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior IBM DB2 Administrator with extensive experience in database administration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage database architecture, installation, instance creation, and product setup.
  • Create and maintain database objects such as tables, indexes, views, tablespaces, and stored procedures.
  • Implement backup and restore strategies for high availability and disaster recovery.
  • Perform tablespace management, reorganization, and data movement utilities.
  • Configure and maintain high availability systems for disaster recovery.
  • Monitor database health using performance metrics and monitoring tools.
  • Conduct performance tuning by optimizing database parameters and query execution plans.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to database logs, rollback segments, and I/O errors.
  • Develop database security rules and define naming conventions.
  • Estimate storage requirements and recommend optimal configurations.
  • Apply database patches and upgrades to prevent outages.
Requirements:
  • Extensive experience in database administration with a focus on IBM DB2.
  • Strong understanding of database architecture, installation, and configuration.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to troubleshoot complex database issues.
  • Strong communication skills with ability to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to estimate and recommend storage requirements.
