**Your Role and Responsibilities**

The position will participate in team or company projects as required, maintain state-of-the-art knowledge of existing best practices in database technology, provide on-call support, and also migrations, DB architecture design, and implementation, and capacity planning. This position may also support the management of backup & recovery, replication and high availability features. Additional responsibilities include: improvement of database integrity through quality assurance and managing change control processes related the database environment.

Work as a collaborative member in a client squad. The following key activities may also be included:

- Migrations, moves and cloning of databases and environments.
- Technical Configuration changes of database environments.
- Configuration / Management of HA and DR capabilities in database environments, including replication and clustering technologies.
- Testing of Replication, Backup and Recovery (including Disaster Recovery).
- Performance tuning, alerting & monitoring, server configuration.
- Assessment and analysis of database environments.
- Participate in capacity management and planning activities.
- Platform layout changes for database hosting.
- Implement and utilize the Release and Change Management as well as other ITIL processes.
- Database Reporting.

**Required Technical and Professional Expertise**
- 2+ years experience in MSSQL Database administration
- good knowledge of SQL for MSSQL,
- extensive experience with MSSQL Server Installation, configuring and troubleshooting
- good knowledge of MSSQL Server High Availability Features (FCI, Alwayson)
- Solid knowledge in the following areas: Windows, Networking, Clustering, T-SQL
- fluent English
- Experience with Ticket handling (Incident, Change, Problem)
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Willing to learn new technologies
- Fast adaptation to the continuously changing environments
- Excellent team-player, but able to work on your own
- Willing to work in on-call duty after the trial period

**Preferred Technical and Professional Experience**
- Experiences with other DB technologies is an advantage

Bachelor's Degree
