**The Role / Summary**:
The Senior Talent Strategy role will be a key member on the Talent Strategy & Employee Experience team who will partner closely with the Global Talent Strategy Leader, People Team leadership, and Moody’s business leaders to drive best practice talent strategy and renewed focus on building manager capability. By driving the cultivation of a highly talented, empowered, and inclusive leadership team, this role will further enable an exceptional employee experience and the ability of Moody’s employees to perform their best work. This role will report directly into the Global Talent Strategy Leader.

**Responsibilities**:

- Build fundamental people manager capabilities across Moody’s business lines and geographies by anticipating needs and developing the policies, processes, and frameworks required to empower Moody’s people managers with the ability to handle employee situations effectively, independently, and in a way that enhances employee growth and a positive employee experience
- Provide leverageable resources, tools, and guiding principles to Moody’s Talent Partners to promote organizational and leadership effectiveness, efficiency, and leadership capability
- Partner with the People Development team to design trainings and curate learning paths focused on defining the qualities of an effective manager, building managerial skills, and creating leadership trainings
- Collaborate with the Employee Experience and People Development teams to establish a new hire experience for managers, inclusive of leadership trainings, employee engagement and experience trainings, and curated learning paths tailored to new managers
- Effectively build materials made available to Talent Partners that provide guidance on delivering informal and formal coaching, facilitating feedback conversations, and holding career pathing conversations that ensure successful People outcomes
- Establish manager effectiveness assessments and collaborate with Talent Partners, the People Development team, and the Talent Strategy & Employee Experience team to develop targeted interventions by designing customizable leadership trainings, guidelines, and frameworks used to increase manager capability
- Team with the Org Design & Workforce Planning role to verbalize what capabilities, skills, and experience contribute to best practice leadership and how to utilize succession planning to build those capabilities, skills, and experiences
- Provide consistent interpretation and delivery of Talent Strategy People programs, practices, and policy guidance across the organization
- Consult with Moody’s Talent Partners to understand individual business line strategies and drivers, to in turn identify corresponding People solutions to achieve Talent Strategy priorities
- Proactively synthesize talent data in a meaningful way, creating reports and developing executive summaries to present clear and concise data insights to People Team and executive leadership

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 4 - 6 years of experience in Human Resources or related field
- Leadership experience preferred
- Demonstrated success in influencing and coaching at the senior leadership level
- Highly skilled in using data & technology to improve employee experience, drive business performance, and streamline organization efficiency

**Preferred**:

- Ability to cultivate robust & meaningful relationships to serve as a trusted People Team advisor
- Ability to communicate exceptionally and influence the behavior of others
- Ability to adjust styles of communication to varying situations to effectively communicate with a diverse array of senior stakeholders
- A passion to work with people across a variety of backgrounds with the ability to formally and informally coach and upskill peers and colleagues
- Familiarity with problem-solving, consulting, spotting trends and human-cantered design
- Deliverable development including requirements gathering, analysis, storyboarding; excellent oral and written communication skills, including executive level presentation skills
