**DESCRIPTION**

**Job Summary**:
The Health and Safety Assistant provides essential support for health and safety initiatives by managing data entry, maintaining records, and assisting in training coordination. This role ensures compliance with health and safety regulations and helps foster a safe workplace environment through active participation in safety programs and reporting systems.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Documentation Management**: Maintains local health and safety policies, procedural documentation, and regulatory requirement records.
- **Data Entry and Reporting**: Inputs data into required HSE systems and supports accurate reporting of health, safety, and environmental metrics.
- **Training Coordination**: Assists in preparing and delivering health and safety training programs; maintains and updates training content and records.
- **Incident Reporting**: Supports the reporting of work-related injuries, illnesses, and incidents via the enterprise incident management system.
- **Audit and Inspection Facilitation**: Participates in health and safety inspection and audit programs, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- **Confidentiality and Compliance**: Maintains confidentiality in handling records and adheres to corporate data protection and retention requirements.
- **Employee Engagement**: Actively participates in local safety initiatives and employee engagement programs to foster a strong HSE culture.
- **Support Health and Safety Programs**: Assists in wellness initiatives and conducts quality checks to ensure compliance with safety procedures.
- **Continuous Improvement**: Contributes to process, safety, material flow, and employee development improvements.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- **Education, Licenses, Certifications**:

- Any Graduate with Diploma in Industrial Safety or related field.

**Experience**:

- 2-3 years of relevant work experience required.
- Experience in issuing work permits and providing safety briefing to contractor.
- Electrical lockout-tagout (LOTO) process awareness.
- Should be aware of environmental metrics.
