**Job Description: SEL (Social-Emotional Learning) Teacher**

**Position**: SEL Teacher
**Location**: EuroSchool HSR
**Reports To**: Secondary Coordinator
**Experience Required**: Minimum 3 years in teaching, counseling, or SEL-related roles

**Role Overview**:
The SEL Teacher will be responsible for implementing and facilitating Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) programs in the school. The role includes fostering students' emotional intelligence, resilience, and interpersonal skills while promoting a positive school culture. The SEL Teacher will collaborate with educators, students, and parents to integrate SEL into the academic curriculum.

**Roles and Responsibilities**:

- **Implementation of SEL Curriculum**:

- Design and conduct SEL lessons to help students develop self-awareness, emotional regulation, empathy, and decision-making skills.
- Integrate SEL principles into classroom activities and school-wide programs.
- Use interactive teaching methods like storytelling, role-playing, and group discussions to engage students.
- **Student Support & Guidance**:

- Provide individual and group support for students struggling with emotional, behavioral, or social challenges.
- Foster a safe and inclusive classroom environment that encourages open communication.
- Help students develop coping strategies to manage stress, conflicts, and peer interactions.
- **Collaboration with Teachers & Staff**:

- Conduct training sessions for teachers and staff on SEL best practices.
- Assist in creating a school culture that promotes respect, inclusion, and emotional well-being.
- **Parent Engagement & Workshops**:

- Conduct workshops and seminars for parents on the importance of SEL in student development.
- Provide guidance to parents on fostering emotional intelligence at home.
- **Assessment & Reporting**:

- Monitor and assess students’ progress in SEL competencies.
- Maintain records and provide reports on SEL initiatives and student development.
- Use feedback from students, teachers, and parents to refine SEL programs.

**Skills & Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Education, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in education, counseling, or SEL-related roles.
- Strong understanding of child development and emotional intelligence.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Experience in conducting workshops and training sessions is a plus.
