Director of National Chess Education

Key Position:

The Chess Education Director will be responsible for designing a nationwide chess program that integrates chess with math, language, science, and social-emotional learning (SEL) across K-8 classrooms. This role requires strategic thinking, program development, curriculum creation, and teacher training.

  • Program Strategy: Define the chess education vision and roadmap, create instructional standards, and develop a scope and sequence for grade-banded progressions.
  • Curriculum Development & Classroom Integration: Design plug-and-play lesson kits, cross-curricular micro-kits, and localize early-years 'Story Chess' resources for Grades 1-2.
  • Teacher Training & Scale: Build a teacher training pathway, manage an academic implementation team, and create explainer videos and a resource hub for teachers.

Key Responsibilities: Program strategy, curriculum development, and teacher training.

Requirements: Strong leadership skills, ability to work with teachers, experience in program development and implementation, knowledge of chess and its educational benefits.

Working Conditions: Flexible working hours with regular travel within India.
