As a Senior Database Administrator, you should have strong experience as a DBA, including hands-on experience with Oracle Database Administration, performance tuning, monitoring, and troubleshooting on premise as well as Cloud.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Install, configure, and maintain Oracle databases; manage and monitor databases using Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM)
- Administer and maintain Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC), Automatic Storage Management (ASM), and pluggable databases to ensure high availability, scalability, and efficient resource utilisation
- Utilise Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) to automate patching and provisioning tasks, streamlining database maintenance and reducing manual intervention
- Administer PostgreSQL databases, ensuring high availability, performance, and security
- Perform database performance tuning and optimization; troubleshoot performance issues and implement solutions
- Conduct regular database health checks and recommend improvements
- Develop and maintain shell scripts for database management tasks, automation, and monitoring
- Streamline database operations through automation and scripting
- Plan and execute database migrations to cloud platforms (eg, AWS, Azure, Oracle Cloud)
- Implement and manage backup strategies; perform regular backups and recovery testing
- Develop disaster recovery plans and ensure database resilience
- Manage database security, roles, and permissions; ensure compliance with data security policies

**Job Requirements**

**Experience**:

- 4-5 years of hands-on experience as an Oracle DBA, with expertise in OEM
- Proven experience in shell scripting and automating database tasks
- Experience with PostgreSQL database management is a plus

**Technical Skills**:

- Strong knowledge of Oracle database architecture, backup/recovery processes, and performance tuning
- Proficiency in PostgreSQL, shell scripting, and cloud database migration tools
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Oracle Cloud
