**Job Purpose**:
The Government Liaison Officer will play a critical role in facilitating communication and collaboration between Vidya Bhaban and government departments, agencies, and officials. This role aims to secure support, approvals, and partnerships for Vidya Bhaban’s initiatives, ensuring smooth implementation of projects like digital tuition centers and educational programs across rural areas.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Government Relations**:
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key government officials at the district, state, and central levels.
- Represent Vidya Bhaban at government meetings, forums, and events.
- **Project Advocacy and Approvals**:
- Liaise with relevant authorities to secure necessary permissions, funding, or approvals for Vidya Bhaban’s educational initiatives.
- Advocate Vidya Bhaban’s projects (e.g., hybrid digital tuition centers) to align with government policies such as DMF, CSR, or educational schemes.
- **Compliance and Documentation**:
- Ensure compliance with government regulations and policies related to education, infrastructure, and CSR funding.
- Prepare and submit project proposals, progress reports, and other necessary documents for government review.
- **Stakeholder Engagement**:
- Coordinate with various departments (Education, Mining, Rural Development, CSR, etc.) to explore partnership opportunities.
- Build collaborations with local administrations for project rollouts.
- **Conflict Resolution**:
- Address and resolve any challenges, objections, or bureaucratic delays hindering project implementation.
- **Awareness and Updates**:
- Stay updated on government policies, funding opportunities, and schemes relevant to education and rural development.
- Identify trends and opportunities to align Vidya Bhaban’s initiatives with government priorities.
**Key Skills and Qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in government relations, public policy, or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of government structures, decision-making processes, and bureaucratic systems.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and networking skills.
- Ability to manage complex documentation and reporting requirements.
- Knowledge of education and rural development sectors is a plus.
- Fluency in Odia, Hindi, and English is preferred.
