**Quality Control Microbiologist Job Duties**

Quality control microbiologists have a wide range of responsibilities, which can include:

- Conducting tests to determine whether or not germicides or antibiotics are effective against bacteria or other microorganisms
- Conducting microbiological tests on samples collected from patients to diagnose disease or determine if infection is present
- Collecting and analyzing samples to identify pathogenic bacteria, fungi, protozoa, or other microorganisms that can cause disease in humans
- Working with engineers and other scientists to develop new methods of testing that are faster or more accurate than current methods
- Performing tests on food samples to ensure they meet safety standards set by government agencies such as the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) or the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA)
- Analyzing data to create reports about test results
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with external laboratories that perform testing services for the company
- Reviewing manufacturing processes to ensure that they comply with industry standards for cleanliness and sanitation to help prevent contamination of products with germs or other contaminants
- Conducting microbial analyses of water samples to detect bacteria or parasites that can cause disease in humans or animals

**Salary**: ₹15,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
