**Job Purpose**:

- Lead the accounts and finance team of full-time professionals and provide the team with the direction, guidance, mentorship, and coaching that allows each member personal growth and career development opportunities.
- The Finance controller shall be responsible for enriching the global relationships that enables the success of the finance and accounts shared service domain (“SSD”).
- Ensure adherence and compliance with all regulatory and internal guidelines and policies relevant to the finance and accounts SSD.
- Ensure to maintain stringent risk, control, and compliance standards across the domains - oversee the coordination of both internal and external f audits and ensure minimum satisfactory rating.
- Process and service improvement initiatives to be taken through ideation and ensuring zero errors.

**Duties & responsibilities**:

- Set up the guidelines and policies relevant to the finance and accounts SSD
- Execute business processes including appropriate documentation and structures in governing operations.
- Define, communicate, and lead the execution of the Shared Service vision.
- Develop and ensure the successful execution of the strategies for the various process areas and work streams, including associated governance requirements.
- Implement global strategies to ensure standard end-to-end business processes.
- Foster an environment of innovation and continuous improvement to drive ongoing process efficiency.
- Establish appropriate SLAs with stakeholders and foster ownership across the process areas to meet or exceed the SLAs.
- Develop and implement operational reporting KPI metrics across the key work streams.
- Build and foster high-performance teams; build relationships with team members, business leaders, and global finance functions.
- Mentor and guide the team members towards their career development goals.
- Developing and managing relationships with internal as well as external clients
- Other tasks and responsibilities that may be required.
- Provide comprehensive financial updates to senior management by evaluating, analyzing, and reporting appropriate data points.
- Ability to identify IFRS/USGAAP problem areas in a set of financial statements / fact pattern and to recommend solutions.
- Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls and guidelines.
- Achieve budgeting goals with proper scheduling, analysis, and corrective action.
- Maximize payroll efficiency through innovative process development.
- Help develop and support short and long-term operational strategies.
- Manage and monitor all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements as well as the requirements of private contributions, loans, and government contracts.
- Maintain internal control safeguards for the receipt of revenue, costs and both team and organizational budgets and actual expenditures.
- In conjunction with the Directors, establish financial and operating benchmarks, budgets, program monitoring, and reporting standards on a bi-weekly, monthly, and annual basis.
- Implement consistent accounting policies, practices, and procedures across all programs, upholding federal, state, and local legal standards by remaining knowledgeable about existing, new, and future legislation.
- Develop and enforce internal controls to maximize protection of company assets, policies, procedures, and workflow.
- Oversee and support accounting team with dynamic leadership that creates an environment of trust and productivity.

**Direct Reports**:

- Monthly reporting as set out by the director of operation or the board of directors.
- Quarterly reporting to the board and update of the companies’ financials and forecast for the upcoming quarter.

**Experience & Qualifications**:
**Minimum Experience Requirements-**
- 10+ years of experience in an accounts and finance role, of which at least 5 years in a senior managerial capacity with team-handling responsibilities and strong stakeholder management.
- Managed a team of accounts and finance.
- IRFS, USGAAP and Indian Statutory compliance knowledge and experience.

**Preferred Experience Requirements-**
- Strong working knowledge of detailed financial data analysis.
- Proven experience across the various finance domains including payroll, AP, AR, forecasting and reporting, etc., with a focus on streamlining accounting processes.
- Exemplary history of financial project management
- Working knowledge of central, state, and local tax compliance regulations and reporting.

**Minimum Education Requirements-**
- CA/CPA qualification with a minimum of 5 years’ experience after passing the exam.

**Preferred Education Requirements-**
- MBA or additional qualifications in finance management would be an added advantage.
