Position: Finance Controller

Location: Mumbai

Reporting to: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)/Managing Director

Industry: Chemical Manufacturing

Key Responsibilities:

Finance Controller Duties:

  1. Financial Reporting and Analysis: Oversee the preparation and presentation of accurate financial statements in compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies. Analyze financial data to provide insights and recommendations for business decisions.
  2. Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting process, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives. Monitor financial performance against the budget, identify variances, and develop action plans.
  3. Cost Control and Optimization: Develop and implement cost-control strategies, especially related to raw material procurement and production processes. Optimize working capital and cash flow management.
  4. Internal Controls: Ensure strong internal financial controls and processes are in place to mitigate risks. Conduct regular reviews and audits to enhance transparency and accountability.
  5. Compliance and Taxation: Ensure timely compliance with statutory requirements, including tax filings, financial audits, and corporate governance.
  6. Financial Strategy: Partner with the leadership team to drive financial strategy and support long-term business goals through capital allocation, investment planning, and funding options.
  7. ERP Systems and Financial Tools: Manage the integration of ERP systems and other financial tools for better reporting and operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Education: CA/CPA or MBA (Finance) from a recognized institution.
  • Experience: 10+ years in finance management, with at least 3-5 years in a senior finance role, ideally within the manufacturing or chemical industry.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls in a manufacturing environment. Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • Skills:

Analytical mindset with attention to detail.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Strategic thinker with the ability to forecast and anticipate market trends.
