Finance Controller

Department: Finance & Accounts

Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA)

Experience: 8-10 Years (Minimum 5 Years Post CA)

About the Role:

The Finance Controller will be responsible for overseeing all financial and accounting functions of the organization, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and financial health. The role involves strategic financial planning, budgeting, regulatory compliance, and team leadership to support business growth and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Planning & Control

• Oversee end-to-end financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements as per statutory and management requirements.
• Monitor cash flows, working capital, and liquidity management.
• Drive cost control measures and optimize resource allocation.

2. Statutory Compliance & Audit

• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements including direct and indirect taxation, GST, TDS, Companies Act, and other regulatory laws.
• Liaise with auditors (internal and statutory) and manage timely completion of audits.
• Ensure accurate and timely filing of all statutory returns and financial disclosures.

3. Business Partnering & Strategy

• Provide strategic financial insights and analysis to support decision-making.
• Partner with business leaders to drive profitability and operational efficiency.
• Participate in key business decisions, new investments, and expansion strategies.

4 Tax Planning & Compliance

• Ensure timely and accurate computation of corporate income tax liability.
• Review advance tax calculations and make timely payments.
• Plan and implement tax strategies to optimize tax liability in compliance with applicable laws.

5 Tax Returns & Filings

• Prepare and file income tax returns and other related filings.
• Ensure accurate reporting of financial transactions in line with tax regulations.
• Handle transfer pricing documentation and compliance (if applicable).

6 Tax Assessments & Audits

• Liaise with tax authorities during assessments, scrutiny, or audits.
• Draft and submit responses, appeals, and representations as needed.
• Maintain proper documentation and support schedules for assessments.

7 Withholding Tax (TDS)

• Ensure timely deduction, deposit, and filing of TDS/TCS returns.
• Reconcile TDS liabilities with general ledger and 26AS.
• Manage issuance of TDS certificates and compliance with timelines.

8 Regulatory Updates

• Stay updated with amendments in Income Tax Act, Finance Acts, and judicial pronouncements.

9. Internal Controls & Process Improvements

• Implement and strengthen internal controls, SOPs, and financial systems.
• Identify and mitigate financial risks.
• Drive automation and process excellence in finance operations.

10. Team Leadership

• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounts team.
• Foster a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement.

11 Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Chartered Accountant (CA) with Minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience.
• Proven experience in financial control, accounting, taxation, and compliance.
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards (IND-AS / IFRS).
• Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

12. Preferred Experience:
