**Job Title**: Finance Controller

**Department**: Finance

**Reporting To**: Chief Finance Officer

**Location**: Mumbai

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain timely and accurate financial statements and reports that are appropriate for the users and in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles
Ensuring that efficient financial management system is in place.
Ensure that staff in Finance and accounts department perform their duties effectively.
Ensure that all stakeholders (management team, board of directors, auditors) receive accurate and timely financial management information
Preparation of Budget
Coordination with the external, internal auditors, consultants, financial institutions etc.
Ensure the Group rules, policies and procedures are being followed by the Agency and Group Companies
Manage the Head Office relationship / coordination with Finance and Accounts Team.
Ensure that all statutory requirements of the organization are met.
Review monthly results and implement monthly variance reporting. Ensuring the Group Companies reporting requirements as instructed by HO are met.
Monitoring the KPIs set out periodically.
Manage the cash flow and prepare cash flow forecasts in accordance with policy
Handling, coordinating with the respective teams and oversee the bookkeeping function including maintenance of the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable
Control and monitor Treasury in accordance with the Groups rules and regulations.
Having a good control on the supervision, monitoring and reviewing the financials of group companies and other matters of the departments under his / her purview.

**REQUIREMENTS AND SPECIFIC SKILLS**:
Chartered Accountant
10 - 12 years experience in a similar role post qualification
Preferred to be from Shipping Industry
Sound knowledge of Indian Accounting standards, IFRS, GST, IFC.
Proficiency over Microsoft office - Word, excel, PowerPoint. Must have worked in SAP / ERP environment
Must be clear in the accounting concepts & knowledge
Proactive, Good communication skills and fluency in English
Traits -Leadership, Strategic vision, Team spirit, problem resolving, result oriented.
Man management skills.
