**Job Title -** **Guest Service Associate** **(F&B)**

**Location - Bhujiaghat Nainital Road Uttarakhand**

**Salary - As per the company standards**

**Key responsibilities and duties -**

1. **Guest Greeting & Interaction**
- Greet guests warmly as they enter the establishment.
- Assist guests with any inquiries about the menu, specials, or restaurant services.
- Address any guest concerns or complaints in a friendly and efficient manner.
- Ensure that guests are seated promptly and comfortably.

2. **Menu Knowledge & Recommendations**
- Be knowledgeable about the restaurant's menu items, including ingredients, preparation methods, and dietary restrictions.
- Suggest menu items based on guest preferences or dietary needs.
- Ensure that guests are aware of any special promotions or seasonal offerings.

3. **Order Taking & Accuracy**
- Take food and drink orders from guests with attention to detail.
- Ensure that all orders are correctly entered into the system and communicated to the kitchen or bar staff.
- Confirm special requests or dietary restrictions to ensure accuracy in preparation.

4. **Food & Beverage Service**
- Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely and professional manner.
- Ensure that all tables are properly set, clean, and well-maintained throughout the meal.
- Refill drinks, clear empty plates, and ensure the dining area remains tidy.

5. **Cash Handling & Payment Processing**
- Process payments accurately and efficiently using cash, credit/debit cards, or other methods.
- Provide receipts and make change when necessary.
- Handle tips appropriately, following the restaurant's policy.

6. **Collaborating with the Team**
- Work closely with other team members, including servers, cooks, bartenders, and management, to ensure smooth operations.
- Assist colleagues with refills, table clearing, or other tasks as needed.

7. **Maintaining Cleanliness & Hygiene**
- Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the dining area, including cleaning tables, chairs, and floors.
- Follow proper hygiene standards, including handwashing, food handling, and wearing appropriate uniforms.

8. **Managing Reservations & Waitlist**
- Handle guest reservations, ensuring that they are properly entered into the system.
- Manage the waitlist and communicate wait times to guests.
- Ensure that guests are seated in an organized and timely manner.

9. **Upselling & Promoting Sales**
- Encourage guests to try additional items like desserts, appetizers, or drinks.
- Upsell high-margin items or specials to increase revenue.
- Promote loyalty programs or other promotional offerings.

10. **Handling Special Occasions**
- Assist with special events, such as birthdays, anniversaries, or large parties, by accommodating special requests.
- Provide personalized service for guests celebrating special occasions.

11. **Ensuring Guest Satisfaction**
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their meal.
- Resolve any issues promptly and escalate concerns to management when necessary.
- Thank guests and invite them to return for future visits.

12. **Administrative Duties**
- Assist with basic administrative tasks, such as filing reports, inventory checks, and restocking supplies.
- Maintain records of guest feedback, complaints, or special requests.

13. **Training and Development**
- Participate in training programs to stay informed about menu updates, service standards, and safety protocols.
- Assist in training new team members as needed.

14. **Safety & Compliance**
- Ensure all food safety standards and health regulations are met.
- Adhere to policies related to alcohol service, including checking identification and handling intoxicated guests appropriately.
