**Role Purpose**: Planning and Building International MPLS, Ethernet Capacity and IP Transit Services. Leverage International POPs over redundant cable systems on transatlantic and transpacific paths to provide end-to-end connectivity to global corporations and to provision remote management services for multiple locations both within and outside of India. Peering points to build redundant international network connections to the US, EU, ME, Africa, LAM and APAC.

**Key Accountabilities and Decision ownership**

[max 5]:

- Business Relationship Development (partnership) with major international access providers/Tier-1 IPT SP/ MPLS NNI partners across major overseas PoP in US/Europe/ME/Asia Pacific/ Gulf region.
- Build Global Access reach for VIL’s Global enterprise offerings, as per organisation’s business strategy. Leverage VGNL international footprint and coverage. IP transit capacity build for VIL's mobility and Enterprise customers and its network integration in co-ordination with technology team. Closely work with VIL's SCM/ Commercial and Legal teams for rate negotiation, contracting, agreement vetting and closure.
- Build and expand VIL’s on-net Global PoP for IP/MPLS/L1 Services through direct co-locating network nodes/PoP equipment and operationalizing those using Managed Services or on-the-call support model.
- For major Global PoP, execute contracts for Network to Network Interconnect (NNI) to carry MPLS / IPLC / IP traffic on partner’s network in co-ordination with SCM/ Enterprise Business team.
- IP transit capacity build for VIL’s mobility and Enterprise customers and its network integration in co-ordination with technology team. International IP Exchange/Bilateral Overseas Peering to effectively reduce IPLC/IPT cost.
- Undertake and provide Business Analytics in terms of Enterprise Global NW build strategy. Manage regulatory aspects and different licensing conditions of different regions/demographics based on nature of services.
- CAPEX and OPEX planning for the international infra build for VIL International PoP, Network Node/Colocation/X-Connects/NNI/Off-net Global Access Network etc.

**Core competencies, knowledge and experience** [max 5]:

- Business Planning, Capex/Opex and Project Management of Tier-1 ISP Networks, Enterprise and Mobility Data Networks
- Sound knowledge of Licensing Conditions, Regulatory Guidelines,
- Min. 12-15 years in the field of Enterprise & Mobility Data NW, ISP NW Project Management and Capex/Opex Planning and Financials Management

**Must have technical / professional qualifications**:

- B.E. (E&TC)
- PMP / MBA / PGDB

**Key Performance Indicators** [max 3]:

- Accurately gathering business requirement and preparing International access and IP transit Build Plan with desired SLA and uptime.
- Maximising footprint of VIL’s own International PoP while optimising NNI net costs for different services.
- Timely delivery of international IP Transit Capacity for captive mobility and enterprise requirements.
