Production Supervisor

Job Time : 4:00 AM to 3:00 PM

Location: MODY CAKES & CONFECTIONERY PVT LTD 3/6, 3/7, 2/134, 2/133B, Thumbarassery, Kuzhur, Thrissur, 680734, Kerala.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Supervision and Team Leadership:

- Oversee daily production activities and manage a team of production workers.
- Assign tasks and monitor progress to ensure production targets are met.
- Provide coaching, guidance, and training to team members.
- Maintain discipline and adherence to company policies within the team.

2. Production Management:

- Plan and coordinate production schedules based on customer demand and stock requirements.
- Ensure production processes are followed according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Monitor the use of materials and ingredients to avoid wastage and ensure efficiency.
- Ensure that machinery and equipment are properly maintained and serviced as per the schedule.
- Track production KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and provide reports to senior management.

3. Quality Control:

- Monitor the quality of products at different stages of production to ensure they meet company standards.
- Implement corrective actions for any quality issues that arise during the production process.
- Work closely with the Quality Control department to ensure compliance with safety and hygiene standards.

4. Health, Safety, and Hygiene:

- Enforce proper hygiene and safety protocols in the production area.
- Maintain a clean and organized production area to meet food safety standards, such as FSSAI regulations.

5. Inventory and Materials Management:

- Coordinate with the inventory and procurement teams to ensure the availability of raw materials, ingredients, and packaging supplies.
- Ensure accurate stock records and report any discrepancies to the management.
- Monitor and manage the storage of finished goods.

6. Problem Solving and Continuous Improvement:

- Identify areas of improvement in production processes and suggest or implement innovative solutions.
- Assist in conducting root cause analysis for recurring production problems.

7. Compliance and Documentation:

- Ensure that all production processes are documented and records are maintained for audits.
- Follow food safety regulations and ensure compliance with local and international food safety laws (e.g., FSSAI).

**Requirements**:

- Education: Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Food Technology, Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory role in food production, preferably in bakery, cakes, or confectionery.
- Skills:

- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
- Proficiency in production management software and MS Office.
- Good problem-solving and communication skills.
