**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Installation**:

- Assemble and install new lifts and escalators in residential, commercial, or industrial buildings.
- Interpret technical drawings and manufacturer specifications.
- Set up mechanical and electrical systems (motors, control panels, pulleys, cables, etc.).
- **Maintenance & Servicing**:

- Perform routine maintenance checks (oil levels, cable tension, emergency brakes, etc.).
- Identify and fix issues before they become serious (preventive maintenance).
- Update service logs and maintenance records.
- **Repairs**:

- Diagnose faults and perform repairs on electrical or mechanical lift components.
- Replace worn-out parts and ensure the lift meets safety standards.
- **Modernization**:

- Upgrade older systems with newer, more energy-efficient or code-compliant technology.
- Improve lift speed, comfort, or controls.
- **Safety & Compliance**:

- Ensure lifts meet local/national safety regulations and standards (e.g., EN81 in Europe, ASME A17.1 in the US).
- Conduct safety inspections and emergency system checks.
- Follow proper lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures.
