Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation:
  • Assemble and install new lifts and escalators in residential, commercial, or industrial buildings.
  • Interpret technical drawings and manufacturer specifications.
  • Set up mechanical and electrical systems (motors, control panels, pulleys, cables, etc.).
  • Maintenance & Servicing:
  • Perform routine maintenance checks (oil levels, cable tension, emergency brakes, etc.).
  • Identify and fix issues before they become serious (preventive maintenance).
  • Update service logs and maintenance records.
  • Repairs:
  • Diagnose faults and perform repairs on electrical or mechanical lift components.
  • Replace worn-out parts and ensure the lift meets safety standards.
  • Modernization:
  • Upgrade older systems with newer, more energy-efficient or code-compliant technology.
  • Improve lift speed, comfort, or controls.
  • Safety & Compliance:
  • Ensure lifts meet local/national safety regulations and standards (e.g., EN81 in Europe, ASME A17.1 in the US).
  • Conduct safety inspections and emergency system checks.
  • Follow proper lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures.
