CNC Machine Operator (Vertical Machining Centres and Turning Centres)

**Key Responsibilities**:

- ** Machine Setup**: Prepare and set up CNC machines (VMC and Turning Centres) for production, including loading raw materials and selecting appropriate tools.
- ** Operation**: Operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling, and turning.
- ** Programming**: Input and adjust machine settings and programs to ensure accurate production of components.
- ** Quality Control**: Inspect and measure finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- ** Maintenance**: Perform routine maintenance on machines, including cleaning, lubricating, and troubleshooting minor issues.
- ** Documentation**: Maintain accurate records of production runs, machine settings, and maintenance activities.
- ** Safety Compliance**: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- ** Technical Drawings**: Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate production.
- ** Continuous Improvement**: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and quality.

**Qualifications**:

- ** Education**: High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in CNC operation is preferred.
- ** Experience**: 2-4 years of experience operating CNC machines, specifically VMC and Turning Centres.
- ** Skills**:

- Proficiency in operating CNC machinery and tooling.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic understanding of computer programming and CAD/CAM software.
- Ability to troubleshoot and perform minor maintenance on machines.

**Additional Information**:

- ** Work Environment**: Manufacturing site-based with exposure to machinery and production processes.
- ** Reporting**: Reports to the Production Manager.
