Need Quantity Surveyor for construction company

Experience : 5 to 10 Years

Salary : 30000 to 40000 Per Year

**Cost Management & Budgeting**:

- **Pre-construction**: This involves detailed cost planning and budgeting, preparing accurate cost estimates based on tender documents and specifications, and value engineering to optimize project costs without compromising quality. They'll also analyze the risk associated with costs.
- **Construction Phase**: During construction, they monitor and control costs against the budget, tracking expenses, and identifying potential cost overruns early on. This includes producing regular cost reports for management and clients.
- **Post-construction**: They may also be involved in final account settlements, ensuring all payments are accurate and reconciled.

**Procurement & Contracts**:

- Quantity Surveyors often play a key role in the procurement process, helping to select subcontractors and suppliers based on cost and quality. They'll analyze bids and negotiate contracts to ensure favorable terms for the company. This might include using different contract types such as lump sum, target cost, or cost plus contracts and understanding their implications for cost management.

**Measurement & Reporting**:

- They'll undertake regular measurements of work completed on site to ensure accurate payment to subcontractors. This involves interpreting drawings and specifications and producing accurate valuations. The reporting aspect includes generating regular progress reports, highlighting variances from the initial budget, and presenting this information clearly to stakeholders.

**Legal & Compliance**:

- Quantity Surveyors must be aware of relevant building regulations, health and safety legislation, and contractual obligations. They ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations throughout the project.
