Job Description: Finance Controller (Cost Control)

Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Finance Controller to join our team. The Finance Controller will play a critical role in ensuring effective cost control measures throughout our operations. This role will be responsible for overseeing invoice verification, cash voucher verification, vendor rate verification, financial closure of interior fit-out projects, handling vendor debits and penalties, and identifying expense leakages. The Finance Controller will report directly to the Regional Planning and Procurement Manager.

**Responsibilities**:

- Implement robust cost control processes and procedures to optimize expenses and ensure adherence to budgetary guidelines.
- Verify invoices and validate accuracy, completeness, and compliance with organizational policies and contractual agreements.
- Review and validate cash vouchers, ensuring appropriate supporting documentation and adherence to financial guidelines.
- Verify vendor rates and negotiate competitive pricing to minimize costs while maintaining quality standards.
- Oversee the financial closure of interior fit-out projects, ensuring accurate project accounting, cost allocations, and timely reporting.
- Manage vendor debits and penalties, closely monitoring contract terms and conditions to mitigate financial risks.
- Analyze financial data and reports to identify potential leakages in expenses and recommend cost-saving strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, project management, and finance, to drive cost optimization initiatives.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors, ensuring efficient communication and prompt issue resolution.
- Prepare regular financial reports, including cost analysis, variance analysis, and profitability assessments, to support decision-making processes.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CMA, CPA) is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Finance Controller or similar role, preferably in the retail or construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of cost control principles, financial management, and accounting practices.
- Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Experience in project financial closure and cost accounting for interior fit-out projects is highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address financial inefficiencies.
- Advanced proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and influence stakeholders.
- High level of integrity and attention to detail.
