Job Description

Position Title: COE Lead - Controllership

Location: Gurgaon

Reports To: Group Finance Controller

Employment Type: Full-timeKey Responsibilities:

- Lead the design and implementation of standardized accounting policies and procedures across all business units.
- Ensure compliance with global accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, US GAAP) and local statutory requirements.
- Develop and maintain strong internal controls to mitigate financial risks and ensure audit readiness.
- Oversee financial close processes, ensuring timeliness, accuracy, and completeness of financial reporting.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (tax, treasury, FP&A, IT, other entity controllers) to streamline financial operations.
- Lead initiatives for process improvement, automation, and use of technology in accounting operations.
- Provide technical accounting guidance and training to regional and local teams.
- Manage external and internal audit processes, ensuring timely resolution of findings and implementation of actionables.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to financial operations and controls.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, compliance, and operational excellence.
- Lead the launch of Marketplace model
- Prepare IPO level processes for the company

The Successful Applicant

Qualifications:

- CA or MBA Finance (Full time from Tier1 or 2 College)
- 5-8 years of experience in controllership, accounting, or audit.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP, and internal controls (e.g., SOX compliance).
- Experience in setting up or operating a Marketplace business in e-commerce
- Proven experience in leading process improvement and standardization initiatives.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in financial systems (e.g., SAP Hana) and advanced Excel skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across global teams and manage multiple priorities.
- Experience in startups and e-commerce environment is a plus.
