Educational Qualification:

- B.Tech or M.Tech in Food Processing/Technology/Biotechnology
- BSc. in Food Science, Quality Control

Job Responsibilities:

- Quality Assurance: Develop and implement quality assurance procedures and guidelines to ensure compliance with regulatory standards, industry best practices, and company policies. This includes developing and updating quality control manuals, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and quality control plans.
- Raw Material Inspection: Conduct thorough inspections of incoming raw materials, including ingredients, packaging materials, and additives, to ensure they meet quality specifications. Collaborate with suppliers to address any quality issues or deviations.
- In-Process Quality Control: Monitor and inspect various stages of the manufacturing process to identify any deviations from quality standards. This involves conducting regular checks on equipment calibration, process parameters, and product attributes. Take corrective actions and provide guidance to production teams to rectify quality issues promptly.
- Finished Product Evaluation: Perform comprehensive testing and analysis on finished products, including sensory evaluations, physical tests, and lab analysis, to ensure they meet quality specifications. Maintain accurate records of test results and communicate any non-conformances to the production team for corrective actions.
- Quality Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation related to quality control activities, including inspection reports, test results, non-conformance reports, and quality records. Prepare and present periodic quality reports to management, highlighting trends, areas for improvement, and recommendations.
- Training and Compliance: Train production staff on quality control procedures, guidelines, and standards to ensure a thorough understanding of quality expectations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality-related issues and implement corrective and preventive actions. Stay updated with regulatory requirements and industry trends to ensure compliance.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in the quality control process and recommend and implement changes to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve overall product quality. Participate in root cause analysis and problem-solving activities to address quality issues and prevent recurrence.
