Job Summary

Kanha Makhan Millennium School, Mathura is seeking a dedicated and creative Cultural Coordinator to foster an inclusive, diverse, and culturally vibrant environment within our school community. The Cultural Coordinator will be responsible for planning, organizing, and promoting cultural activities, events, and programs that celebrate the diversity of our students, families, and staff, enhancing cultural awareness, understanding, and respect across the school.

Key Responsibilities
- **Program Development**: Design and implement a variety of cultural programs and events, including multicultural fairs, heritage month celebrations, guest speaker series, art exhibits, and language appreciation days.
- **Community Engagement**: Build relationships with students, families, and local community organizations to encourage participation and partnerships in cultural events and activities.
- **Student Involvement**: Facilitate student clubs, workshops, and events that promote intercultural exchange, supporting students in exploring their own cultural backgrounds and learning about others.
- **Staff Support and Training**: Work with staff to create inclusive classrooms and provide cultural competence training, helping teachers incorporate diverse perspectives and culturally responsive practices.
- **Resource Management**: Source and manage cultural resources, including books, materials, and guest speakers, ensuring events are accessible, engaging, and aligned with educational goals.
- **Promotion and Communication**: Develop communication materials to promote cultural events through newsletters, social media, and school announcements, increasing awareness and participation across the school community.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree.
- Experience in event planning, program coordination, or community engagement (preferably in an educational setting).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage diverse populations.
- Knowledge of cultural awareness, diversity, equity, and inclusion practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively with students, staff, and community partners.

Preferred Skills
- Multilingual abilities are a plus.
- Experience with multicultural programming or cultural education initiatives.
- Familiarity with local cultural organizations and resources.
