Ø **Job Summary**:
The Safety Officer will be responsible for ensuring that all safety protocols and regulations are followed to maintain a safe working environment in the Galvanized Iron (GI) plant. This role involves identifying and mitigating hazards, conducting safety training, monitoring plant operations, and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations.

Ø **Key Responsibilities**:
**Safety Compliance & Monitoring**:

- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, standards, and guidelines specific to the GI plant.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor safety conditions and practices.
- Identify potential hazards and take corrective actions to mitigate risks.
- Ensure proper use of safety equipment (PPE) and enforce adherence to safety protocols.

**Risk Assessment & Hazard Management**:

- Conduct risk assessments of all areas of the plant and ensure that corrective actions are implemented.
- Develop and maintain emergency response plans (fire, chemical spills, etc.).
- Review work processes and recommend safety improvements to prevent accidents and injuries.

**Training & Awareness**:

- Develop and conduct safety-training programs for plant workers and new hires.
- Provide ongoing training on safety procedures, emergency response, equipment handling, and safe work practices.
- Promote a culture of safety awareness and motivate employees to prioritize safety at all times.

**Incident Investigation & Reporting**:

- Investigate workplace accidents, near misses, and safety violations, documenting findings and suggesting preventive measures.
- Prepare and submit safety reports and records to management as required.
- Ensure that all incidents are properly documented in compliance with regulatory standards.

**Regulatory Compliance**:

- Ensure plant operations comply with OSHA, environmental and local safety regulations.
- Assist with audits and inspections from external regulatory agencies.
- Keep up to date with changes in safety legislation and implement necessary changes in the plant.

**Safety Equipment and Facility Maintenance**:

- Inspect and maintain fire safety equipment, first-aid kits, emergency exits, and other safety tools and equipment.
- Ensure that plant machinery and equipment meet safety standards, and coordinate repairs as necessary.

**Safety Program Development**:

- Assist in the creation and implementation of safety programs aimed at improving the plant’s overall safety culture.
- Work with management to develop safety goals and objectives for the year.

**Qualifications**:
Ø **Education**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
- Certification in safety management (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA, and IOSH) is highly desirable.

Ø **Experience**:

- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in safety management in an industrial environment (experience in a GI plant or similar manufacturing setting is preferred).
- Proven record of accomplishment in hazard identification, risk assessment, and safety management.

Ø **Skills**:
Ø In-depth knowledge of safety protocols, OSHA regulations, and best practices.

Ø Strong communication and training skills to educate and engage employees.

Ø Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick, effective decisions in emergencies.

Ø Proficient in using safety management software and reporting tools.

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹26,000.00 per month
