Procurement Assistant Vegetable

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Vegetable Procurement Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing the supply of fresh vegetables for our organization. Your primary objective will be to ensure a consistent and high-quality supply of produce while maintaining cost-effectiveness and adhering to procurement policies and standards.
**Responsibilities**:
1. Sourcing and Procurement: Identify reliable suppliers of fresh vegetables locally, nationally. Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure competitive prices, quality, and delivery terms.
2. Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure prompt delivery, resolve any issues, and explore opportunities for collaboration and improvement.
3. Quality Assurance: Conduct regular inspections of incoming material to verify quality and compliance with specifications.
4. Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and forecast demand to avoid shortages or overstocking. Coordinate and ensure timely and efficient receipt.
5. Cost Management: Analyze market trends, pricing fluctuations, and supply chain costs to optimize purchasing decisions and minimize expenses while maintaining quality standards.
6. Compliance and Documentation: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, certifications, and food safety standards. Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, contracts, invoices, and supplier performance evaluations.
7. Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about industry developments, technological advancements, and best practices in procurement and supply chain management. Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost savings, and sustainability initiatives.
**Salary**: ₹500,000.00 - ₹600,000.00 per year
