**Job Summary**

The Financial Controller is a senior leadership position responsible for overseeing all financial planning, accounting operations, regulatory reporting, and internal controls for Jesus Calls, a large Christian charitable non-profit organization operating in India. This role is pivotal in ensuring the financial health, transparency, and strict adherence to all Indian statutory compliance regulations governing trusts, societies, and charitable activities.

**Key Responsibilities**

**1. Financial Accounting and Reporting**
- General Ledger Management: Oversee all general accounting operations, including Accounts Payable (A/P), Accounts Receivable (A/R), Payroll, and monthly/year-end close processes, ensuring compliance with Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS) and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for Non-Profit Organizations.
- Financial Statements: Prepare and publish accurate, timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including the Statement of Activities, Statement of Financial Position, and Cash Flow Statements for management and the Board.
- Donor/Fund Reporting: Ensure accurate tracking, recording, and reporting of funds according to donor restrictions and designated purposes (e.g., Prayer Towers, Ministry Projects).

**2. Statutory Compliance and Taxation (India)**
- Income Tax Compliance: Ensure rigorous compliance with the Income Tax Act, 1961, specifically concerning exemptions for charitable institutions (Sections 12A and 80G), including timely and accurate filing of all returns (e.g., Form 10B, Form 10BD, Form 9A).
- Goods and Services Tax (GST): Manage and ensure compliance with all GST requirements, including appropriate calculation, filing, and remittances.
- Trust/Society Compliance: Oversee compliance with the Indian Trusts Act / Societies Registration Act and any relevant state-level charity commissioner mandates.
- Labor & HR Finance: Oversee compliance related to employee benefits, including Provident Fund (PF), Gratuity, and ESI.

**3. Budgeting, Forecasting, and Financial Strategy**
- Budgeting: Coordinate and direct the preparation of the comprehensive annual organizational budget, collaborating with departmental heads and the Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
- Forecasting: Develop detailed financial forecasts, analyze variances between actual performance and budget, and provide management with strategic insights to optimize resource allocation and cost control.
- Cost Management: Identify and implement cost-saving and efficiency-enhancing initiatives across all departments and Prayer Towers.

**4. Internal Controls and Audit Management**
- Internal Controls: Design, document, and enforce robust financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard the Ministry’s assets, ensure financial integrity, and mitigate risks of fraud and misuse.
- Audit Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for external statutory auditors, internal auditors, and regulatory compliance checks, managing all audit processes and ensuring prompt resolution of findings.
- Technology: Oversee the integrity and optimal use of financial software and ERP solutions (e.g., Tally) to ensure accurate, real-time data accessibility.

**Qualifications**
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
- Certification: Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) from ICAI is mandatory/highly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 10+ years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, with at least 5 years in a senior managerial or Financial Controller role, preferably within a large Indian NGO, Trust, or religious/charitable organization.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹2,500,000.00 - ₹4,000,000.00 per year
