Job description - Buyer

This resource will be responsible for the procurement of goods & services from specified suppliers that are moderate to high in complexity under mínimal supervision and in accordance with all relevant policies and procedures.

Manage expedite and delivery improvements, as necessary; and all the order management activities including change requests, cancellations, returns and invoicing issues to ensure timely payment to suppliers. Provides opportunity to work through Procure to Pay cycle of procurement processes; involving creation of Purchase orders, working with suppliers for their confirmation and to ensure timely delivery of goods & services for the requirements raised by project teams.

Location: Pune

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
Leadership

1. Act as a Point of Contact for acknowledging & addressing internal customers queries related to tasks assigned

2. Participate & actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives & reporting/documenting enhancements to improve productivity.

3. Enthusiastic to work & adapt in a dynamic, fast paced, and challenging environment.

4. Able to manage difficult situations in a professional and commercial manner

5. Self-motivated, flexible and someone who holds self-accountable for completing own tasks/responsibilities, but also contributes to others ’Efforts’, as required

6. Work closely with stakeholders for the optimization of processes, identify process improvement opportunities and areas for continuous improvement.

Interpersonal

1. Ability to effectively interface with internal and external stakeholders (in varying roles and departments); provide succinct information on time & as requested.

2. Strong passion for delivering excellent customer experience.

3. Excellent communicator at all levels (Written & Verbal) with strong ability to clearly articulate & convey the understanding to peers & customers.

Education & Experience:
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Science/ Commerce/ Business Administration or equivalent.

2. Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in Business Operations.

3. Should have exposure to Global Work style, engagement with clients while sitting at remote locations.

4. Willing to work in flexible business shifts / global time zones including NA/LA time zone to drive business stakeholder connect.

5. Prior experience of working in business operations with hands-on experience of SAP Contract creation / Order entry, supply request/, Shopping Carts, Proposals, material tracking, shipping / receiving functions as required would be preferred.

6. Prior knowledge on commercial aspects of contracts/Projects/Proposals/Quotations/Procurement are a plus

7. Exposure around audits and services contracts is a plus

8. Lean Six Sigma certifications are a plus.
