**Role Description**
We are looking to hire an energetic, highly motivated, can-do attitude individual who understands and can manage JIRA related enhancements and customizations, to join our team as Jira Engineer. This is an opportunity to join a fast-growing team of talented professionals with a lot of positive energy and enthusiasm.
**This is a Part-Time, 100% remote contract role, with potential for a full-time role in the future.**
**Responsibilities**
- Gather requirements for business processes and determine ways to optimize/improve JIRA/Confluence build and configure.
- Understanding of JIRA APIs and webhooks.
- Support JIRA and Confluence users.
- Work with business users to evaluate JIRA and Confluence plug-ins, determine licensing needs, and perform testing, installation, and configuration of the plug-ins.
- Utilizes design skills to define JIRA workflows and the related screen schemes for complex and high impact projects.
- Support and configure JIRA plugins as required.
- Generate documentation on workflows and processes implemented in JIRA to support runbooks.
- Create JIRA projects, queries and reports as required.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Jira.
- Train team members on how to use Jira effectively.
- Collaborate with development team to resolve technical issues.
- Document technical issues and resolutions for future reference.
- Stay current with Jira updates and features.
- Proactively identify and plan hygiene and 'clean-up' activities.
**Required Knowledge/ Experience**
- 3+ years' experience as a JIRA Support Engineer in an enterprise environment.
- Advanced Jira and Confluence configuration knowledge.
- Certification in Atlassian is a plus
- Understanding of Web Technologies (Cloud/Amazon Web Services, Jira, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, Java).
- Excellent knowledge of Jira tools and add-ons such as Service Desk, Structure, ScriptRunner, Roadmap, BigPicture, JMCF, JSU and JQL.
- Understand tools ITIL support framework to ensure strong understanding of processes.
- Strong experience of Cloud Atlassian installations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to provide step-by-step technical help, both written and verbal.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
