**JOB DESCRIPTION - MEDICAL COORDINATOR**

The Medical Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective management of healthcare operations and clinical services. They serve as a liaison between medical staff, patients, and administrative departments, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and policies while maintaining high-quality patient care.

**Key Responsibilities**
- **Administrative Coordination**:

- Coordinate daily medical operations and administrative tasks in the healthcare facility.
- Collaborate with department heads to ensure smooth functioning across all medical services.
- Schedule and manage medical staff rosters, ensuring adequate coverage.
- Oversee patient flow to minimize wait times and optimize care delivery.
- **Compliance and Documentation**:

- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, policies, and accreditation standards.
- Maintain accurate records of patient care, staff credentials, and operational activities.
- Audit medical documentation and processes to identify and address gaps.
- **Staff Support and Communication**:

- Act as a communication bridge between medical teams and administrative departments.
- Support recruitment, training, and onboarding of new medical staff.
- Address concerns and grievances from staff and escalate issues as necessary.
- **Patient Care Coordination**:

- Oversee patient admission, discharge, and transfer processes.
- Ensure that patients receive timely and appropriate care by coordinating with medical teams.
- Manage escalations regarding patient complaints or feedback.
- **Operational Management**:

- Monitor inventory of medical supplies and equipment, ensuring timely procurement.
- Assist in developing and implementing policies for improving medical operations.
- Analyze operational metrics and propose solutions for enhancing efficiency.
- **Crisis Management**:

- Assist in managing emergencies and crisis situations by coordinating staff and resources.
- Ensure proper implementation of safety protocols during incidents.

**Medical coordinator **required for **Ward/ICU/Emergency** (Fresher can also apply)

Qualification - BAMS/MBBS

Indus International Hospital Derabassi.
