Almond Books is a rapidly growing **academic publishing house** based in Mumbai. Our mission is to facilitate the spread of knowledge by producing high-quality, accessible resources for students and educators.

**Job Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
1. Manage the end-to-end publishing process of academic books, including acquisition, editing, design, production, and marketing.

2. Liaise with authors, editors, designers, and other staff to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

3. Develop a strategic plan to grow the Academic Books division, including identifying potential new authors and market opportunities.

4. Foster relationships with academic institutions, authors, and other stakeholders to understand the current and future needs of our target market.

5. Ensure that all published materials meet high-quality standards and are in line with the company's mission and values.

6. Monitor market trends in academic publishing and recommend strategies for improving our products and services.

7. Manage a team of content interns, contract-based proofreaders, and partner closely with CEO/Founder for day-to-day tasks.

**Requirements**:
1. Bachelor's degree in Publishing, English, Business Management, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.

2. Minimum of 2 years' work experience in publishing or non-publishing industry.

3. Knowledge of the publishing process, including editorial, design, and production stages is a plus.

4. Exceptional project management and team leadership skills.

5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

6. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

7. Proficiency in the use of MS Word, Excel, etc.

**Location**:Opposite Railway Station, Kandivali West, Mumbai

**Job Type**:Full Time (Monday - Saturday, 9am-6pm)
