**About The Position**:
Data Strategy Manager - India - remote - this is up to one month joining

**Job Description**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Develop and Implement Data Strategy: Create and execute a comprehensive data strategy that aligns with the bank's business objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Data Governance: Establish and enforce data governance policies to ensure data quality, security, and compliance.
- Data Management: Oversee the collection, storage, and maintenance of data, ensuring its accuracy and accessibility.
- Analytics and Insights: Lead data analytics initiatives to generate actionable insights and support strategic decision-making.
- Technology Integration: Collaborate with IT to integrate data management tools and technologies.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business units to understand their data needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of data professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

Qualifications:

- Education: Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in data engineering, data strategy, or a related role within the banking or financial services industry.

**Skills**:

- Strong proficiency with SQL and Python.
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake and dbt.
- Understanding of data warehouse design principles.
- Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD practices.
- Strong understanding of data governance and regulatory compliance.
- Proficiency in data management tools and technologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with data quality testing and monitoring tools.
- Knowledge of data visualization tools (Looker, Tableau).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Background in Agile development methodologies.
- Experience with big data technologies and cloud platforms.
- Certification in data management or related fields.
