WAREHOUSE ASSISTANT STOREKEEPER (OIL & GAS ) HIRING WAREHOUSE ASSISTANT STOREKEEPER FOR QATAR **DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION** "1. Under the general direction, Warehouse Assistant storekeepers are responsible to assist material controllers / supervisors to perform a full range of duties in order to manage the functions of the Material Warehouse which includes but not limited to receiving, processing, preservation, packing, storing and issuing of Materials / Spares related to Oil & Gas industry. 2. Safe handling of Materials (Loading & Unloading) by following the safety measures and ensure the Materials are received / shipped in well packed condition. Responsible to follow and adhere to the safe packing and unpacking methods of materials. 3. Assist in inspecting the inbound & outbound Materials and preserve the Materials as appropriate and ensure the proper labelling / identification methods are followed. 4. Shall be able to determine Packing and preservation requirements for the Materials based on the type & condition by following the industrial standards. 5. Ensure materials are properly placed as per the defined location to ensure the real-time availability and to maintain the accuracy. 6. Knowledge & experience in understanding the Hazard Chemicals labeling, Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS), Expiry & Batch information to follow FIFO mechanism. 7. Carry out duties in strict adherence to safety and environmental regulations. 8. Maintain good housekeeping to ensure the workplace are free from hazards. Daily inspection of Material Handling equipment and report any unsafe condition if noted. 9. Well versed experience in operating Material Handling Equipment in a safely manner with valid Qatar License." **KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE** 1. Minimum 5 years of experience in Material Management and Warehouse Operations out of which minimum 3 years in the Oil & Gas sector. 2. Well versed knowledge of Spares & consumables used in Oil & Gas industry. 3. Good written and spoken English, problem solving skills, technical communication and interpersonal skills. 5. Well versed experience of lifting equipment and safe handling of heavy materials. 6. Operate Forklift with valid Qatar Forklift license. 7. Knowledge in storage and handling of Chemicals / Hazardous materials of all the classes. Able to interpret MSDS and understanding of UN / NFPA / GHS Classification. 8. Knowledge and experience in material preservation and packing standards followed in Oil & Gas industry. 9. Knowledge of Safety standards followed in Oil & Gas industry. IOSH certificate Managing Safely or equivalent and Control of Substances Hazardous to Health - COSHH training certificates are mandatorily required prior to start working with QatarEnergy. **EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS** Diploma or equivalent in technical disciplines from a recognized university / board. Note: All the originals of qualification certificates shall be attested from country of origin by their respective board of education and Ministry of Foreign affairs to verify qualifications and credentials.
