- Coordinating with the procurement team for the sourcing of raw materials and timber.

2. Inventory and Stock Management
- Managing the inventory of raw materials (timber) and finished lumber products, ensuring accurate stock levels.
- Ensuring proper storage of lumber to prevent damage and maintaining accurate stock records.

3. Team Supervision
- Leading and supervising a team of workers and office personnel.
- Scheduling shifts, assigning tasks, and monitoring team performance.
- Ensuring all employees adhere to safety standards and protocols, particularly when handling heavy equipment and materials.

4. Customer Relations and Sales Support
- Assisting in managing relationships with clients, contractors, and vendors.
- Handling customer inquiries, complaints, and sales orders, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
- Working closely with the sales team to meet customer needs and promote lumber products.

5. Safety and Compliance
- Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations in the lumber yard or mill.
- Overseeing the implementation of safety protocols for machinery, equipment, and worker safety.
- Regularly conducting safety inspections and ensuring the facility meets all industry and regulatory standards.

7. Equipment and Facility Maintenance
- Overseeing the proper maintenance of machinery and equipment used in the processing and cutting of lumber.
- Coordinating repairs, replacements, and routine checks of equipment to prevent downtime.
- Ensuring the lumber yard or mill is maintained in an organized and efficient manner.

8. Logistics and Supply Chain Coordination
- Coordinating deliveries of lumber to customers or distributors, ensuring efficient and timely shipment.
- Managing relationships with transportation companies and handling any issues related to logistics.
- Overseeing the efficient loading, unloading, and distribution of lumber products.

9. Quality Control
- Ensuring that the lumber products meet company standards and industry regulations.
- Monitoring production quality and addressing any defects or issues in the lumber.
- Working with the quality control team to improve product standards and reduce waste.

10. Reporting and Communication
- Assisting in the preparation of production, sales, and financial reports for upper management.
- Reporting on operational issues, production targets, and sales performance.
- Ensuring clear communication between departments, including sales, production, and logistics.

11. Problem Solving and Decision Making
- Handling day-to-day operational issues, such as equipment breakdowns, supply chain disruptions, or staffing shortages.
- Making decisions in the absence of the manager, especially in critical situations.
- Resolving conflicts or operational bottlenecks to maintain smooth workflows.

Industry-Specific Tasks
