Job Title: Cloud DBA

Location: Bangalore

Experience: 5-8 years

Key Responsibilities:
1)Performance and Optimization:

- Write, review, and optimize complex queries for performance.
- Ensure the right indexes are created, analyze long-running queries, and help engineering teams to rewrite and manage database performance.

2)Database Management:

- Build, manage, and operate databases including MongoDB, MySQL, and DynamoDB.
- Design, implement, and manage multi-tenant database infrastructures (MySQL, Redis, NoSQL, and Snowflake) in AWS and Azure.
- Ensure robust backup and recovery processes for large databases.

3)High Availability and Security:

- Implement and manage database high availability features and partitioning.
- Ensure database security and compliance with data storage policies.
- Build and enforce policies on archiving and purging data in secure storage.
- Perform continuous monitoring of memory and CPU usage of database clusters.

4)Collaboration and Troubleshooting:

- Identify and resolve blocked transactions and deadlocks with the engineering team.
- Collaborate with developers to guide the writing of optimized queries and fixing slow queries.

5)Monitoring and Automation:

- Utilize monitoring tools to maintain DB performance, availability, and DR.
- Implement automation and alerting using Python.

Qualifications:

- Experience with MySQL.
- Strong expertise in AWS-managed services (RDS, S3, EC2).
- Experience in managing multi-tenant database infrastructures in AWS and Azure.
- Proven experience in database performance tuning, monitoring, and high availability.
- Solid understanding of SQL tuning using Explain Plan and other techniques.
- Experience in backup and recovery of large databases.
- Proficiency in CI/CD tools like GitLab, Jenkins.
- Knowledge of Terraform and/or CloudFormation is an added advantage.
- Hands-on exposure to Python for automation and alerting.
- Knowledge on Redshift, BigQuery, Azure Synapse will be added advantage

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹2,500,000.00 - ₹2,800,000.00 per year
