- 2 years Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role preferred.

Job Summary:
**Responsibilities**:

- Guest Greeting and Seating:

- Welcome guests as they arrive at the restaurant with a friendly and courteous demeanor.
- Escort guests to their tables and present menus.
- Manage the seating chart and ensure efficient table rotation.
- Reservation Management:

- Answer phone calls and assist guests with inquiries and reservations.
- Record reservations accurately in the reservation system.
- Confirm reservations and communicate any special requests to the appropriate staff.
- Guest Assistance:

- Provide information about the restaurant, including menu items, specials, and promotions.
- Assist guests with coat check, if applicable.
- Address any guest concerns or complaints promptly and escalate issues to management as needed.
- Coordination with Servers and Kitchen Staff:

- Communicate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate service.
- Relay special requests or dietary restrictions to the kitchen.
- Coordinate with servers to accommodate large parties and special events.
- Maintain Cleanliness and Organization:

- Ensure the hostess station and entrance area are clean, organized, and well-stocked with supplies.
- Assist with setting and clearing tables as needed.
- Monitor restroom cleanliness and alert appropriate staff to any issues.
- Upselling and Promotion:

- Promote restaurant specials, seasonal dishes, and promotions to guests.
- Encourage guests to join loyalty programs or sign up for newsletters.
- Upsell additional menu items, such as appetizers or desserts.
- Cash Handling:

- Process payments for to-go orders or merchandise sales.
- Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately.
- Reconcile cash drawer at the end of each shift and report any discrepancies to management.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Ability to remain calm and courteous under pressure.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with reservation systems and basic computer skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
