- **Financial Audits**:Reviewing financial records, spreadsheets, and other documents to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- **Process Improvement**:Identifying inefficiencies and proposing recommendations for process enhancements.
- **Fraud Prevention**:Investigating and preventing financial and operational fraud.
- **Reporting**:Preparing and presenting audit reports, including findings, recommendations, and follow-up actions.
- **Communication**:Maintaining open communication with management, audit committees, and other relevant stakeholders.
- **Training and Support**:Providing training and support to staff on internal control and audit procedures.

Specific Duties and Tasks:

- **Developing Audit Plans**: Creating audit scopes and plans, including objectives, procedures, and timelines.
- **Data Analysis**: Collecting, analyzing, and evaluating accounting documentation and financial data.
- **Control Testing**: Performing tests of internal controls to assess their effectiveness.
- **Follow-up Audits**: Conducting follow-up audits to ensure that recommendations have been implemented and that issues have been resolved.
- **Working with External Auditors**: Coordinating with external auditors during financial audits.
- **Identifying and Reporting Risks**: Identifying and reporting on potential risks and vulnerabilities to management and the audit committee.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

- **Analytical Skills**: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- **Technical Expertise**: Knowledge of accounting principles, audit procedures, and relevant regulations.
- **Communication Skills**: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for report writing and presentations.
