**Job Summary**

**Specific Requirements (Technical Knowledge, Software, Etc.)**
- Should have at least **6+ Years of experience in mySQL and Postgres Administration**:

- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Demonstrate ability to work in a team environment and multi-task to meet critical deliverable dates
- Demonstrate ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technology tools and platforms
- Works with end users to translate business requirements into database technical specifications.
- Partners with IT and engineering to ensure database designs meet user requirements.
- Monitors database operations, analyzing and responding to performance and other maintenance issues.
- Liaises with developers and other technical personnel to ensure resolution of system issues, including memory, capacity, storage and accessibility.
- Diagnoses, develops and recommends solutions to complex systems, software, security and other issues.
- Develops, updates and maintains system manuals, documentation, policies, and procedures for installing, configuring, maintaining and using database systems and technologies.

**Additional Skills (would like to have but not required)**
- Experience Administering Oracle Databases
- AWS (Cloud Architecture)
- AWS Database Offerings (Including migration experience)
- Knowledge of event correlation platforms (e.g. Moogsoft, BigPanda, etc.)
- Knowledge of OpGenie or other On-call and alert management services.

**Education**
- BS or MS in CS or EE or equivalent work experience
