**Key Responsibilities**:

- Install, configure, and maintain PostgreSQL databases across development, testing, and production environments.
- Monitor database performance and proactively optimize slow-running queries and processes.
- Ensure regular backups, perform restores, and participate in disaster recovery planning.
- Implement security best practices for data protection and access control.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database issues promptly.
- Automate routine tasks using scripting or tools to improve operational efficiency.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation of database systems, configurations, and procedures.

**Required Skills**:

- 3-7 years of hands-on experience in PostgreSQL database administration.
- Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL architecture, configuration, and administration.
- Proficiency in SQL and PL/pgSQL, including writing and optimizing queries.
- Experience with backup and recovery tools.
- Familiarity with performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization.
- Experience with Linux-based environments and basic shell scripting.
- Understanding of database security, user roles, and access controls.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools like pgAdmin, pg_stat_statements, or Grafana/Prometheus.
- Exposure to replication and high availability configurations (e.g., streaming replication, Patroni).
- Experience in handling large volume data.
- Must have experience working in the telecom domain.

**Good to Have**:

- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure, or GCP PostgreSQL).
- Knowledge of DevOps tools like Docker, Ansible, or CI/CD systems.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Basic knowledge of other database systems like MySQL, MongoDB, or Oracle.

**Education**: -Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field

**Job Type**: Contractual / Temporary

Pay: ₹1,000,000.00 - ₹2,200,000.00 per year
