You will be working as Product Owner and will be part of Process Automation Business Area for Process Control Platform Division based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to R&D Team Lead and will be responsible for technical expert in research and development (R&D) for a specific product/system (or clearly identified component of those) and first contact person in R&D for (market-facing) product management and other external stakeholders like engineering. Supporting them on product-related issues. Driving the technical direction of development (e.g. acting as product owner in an agile team) and/or organizes product maintenance

**Your responsibilities**:

- Conducting complex analyses and developing recommendations based on sound technology/ engineering practices and business considerations. Planning, conducting and co-ordinating a range of complex technology/ engineering activities encompassing one or more disciplines
- Acting as project leader or senior project member providing experience and expertise in the execution and use of supporting tools, processes and methods. Managing or co
- ordinating major technology/ engineering projects of substantial impact to the Business Unit/Company
- Acting as a mentor within own organization and strives to developing others and transfer skills and knowledge, sharing best practices and lessons learned
- Monitoring and developing IP strategies within own area of expertise based on good understanding of IP strategies and competitors’ patents in relevant ABB domains. Actively working to identify and mitigate risks in research and development (R&D) projects and activities

**Your background**:

- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Instrumentation or equivalent)
- Required 10 to 12 years of experience in handling new development and maintenance projects
- Experience managing and monitoring of software development teams with 2-3 year working experience as Product Owner /Technical Project Manager / Technical Manager
- Must have good understanding on agile and requirements management along with SAFe desirable
- Ability to set up processes, tools and methods to make overall SDLC efficient and automated with overall understanding and experience of CI/CD process and tools
- Good understanding of usage of automation systems with experience in industrial automation concepts & specification, know-how of the control system concepts, and cyber security requirements
- Having hands on experience in control system, OPC UA and engineering
