**Role: Senior/System Administrator**

**A Day in your life**

**Morning routine;**

You start your day bright arriving over to the data center with a steaming cup of coffee, in hand. The first thing you do is check on all the servers and systems to make sure they're running smoothly. You take a look at the logs and performance metrics from the night. Address any issues that may have popped up.

**Managing infrastructure;**

Throughout the day you keep a watch on our data center facility and all the critical systems it houses. It's important to you that our server clusters are operating flawlessly to avoid any interruptions. You also handle virtualization tasks troubleshooting virtual server environments like Hyper V, VMWare and KVM.

**Taking care of cloud infrastructure;**

Another aspect of your role involves overseeing the deployment and management of cloud based providers such as Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Google Cloud Platform (GCP). It's crucial that our cloud infrastructure meets all requirements.

**Strategies and disaster recovery;**

You make it a point to regularly verify the effectiveness of our backup solution while ensuring it complies with standards. Disaster recovery is always at the top of your priority list as you will be prepared for any situations that may arise. Your knowledge of storage solutions, like RAID configurations and data backup really comes in handy during these tasks.

**Support and Troubleshooting;**

**Security and Audit;**

Ensuring security is a priority you regularly conduct security audits.

**Record Keeping;**

In your role as a Datacenter Administrator/Senior System Administrator you diligently maintain documentation of both the physical and virtual infrastructure setup.

**End of Day Routine;**

As the workday winds down you perform a check on all systems to ensure their stability. You provide updates to your team and management regarding the day’s activities, any resolved issues as progress, on ongoing projects

**Skills in the spotlight**:

- Manage Data Centre, Server Infrastructure, Backups, DNS, DHCP, IIS, File Server
- Installation, Configuration and Administration of server environment
- Windows Server 2008/2012/2016 Servers, Server Clustering, Virtual Server environment (Hyper-V, VMWare,
- KVM), Linux (RedHat, SUSE, CentOS etc.)
- Storage Administration and aware of various Storage solution (Raid configurations, File System & Permissions,
- cloud technology, flash, software-defined storage, and data backup disaster recovery.
- Manage Backup solution to comply with regulatory requirement
- Facility audit for Datacenter and its requirement.
- Compute Headroom sizing, designing solution, providing working as per need and follow best practice for any
- implementation in DC to comply with any audit.
- Identify utilization patterns and their effect on operation/system availability and performance expectations
- Maintains documentation of the physical and Virtual infrastructure setup
- ITIL Process knowledge (Problem, Incident, Change Management)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹600,000.00 - ₹700,000.00 per year
