Job Title: Public Health Intern

Reports To: Public Health Program Coordinator

**Position Overview**:
As a Public Health Intern, you’ll work directly with our team on projects related to health education, data analysis, and community outreach. This internship provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in public health, from supporting ongoing initiatives to engaging with diverse communities.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist in the design, planning, and implementation of public health programs and campaigns.
- Conduct research and compile data on community health needs, best practices, and emerging health issues.
- Support data analysis efforts to assess program effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
- Create educational materials and digital content to promote health awareness and disease prevention.
- Participate in community outreach efforts, such as organizing workshops, events, and health screenings.
- Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and communications for stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address public health challenges and develop innovative solutions.

**Qualifications**:

- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Health Education, or a related field.
- Strong interest in community health, health equity, and public health research.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); experience with data analysis tools (e.g., SPSS, R) is a plus.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple projects effectively.
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to interact professionally with community members and partners.

**Preferred Skills**:

- Experience or coursework in epidemiology, health education, or health communications.
- Knowledge of social media platforms and digital health communication.
- Familiarity with data visualization and public health databases.
