**Job Summary**: The Public Relations Officer (PRO) at Jigyaasa International Preschool will play a pivotal role in enhancing the school's public image and reputation. The PRO will be responsible for managing all external communications, building strong relationships with the community, parents, and media, and promoting the preschool's programs and achievements.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Public Relations and Communications**:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive PR strategy to enhance the preschool’s visibility and reputation.
- Create and distribute press releases, newsletters, and other communications materials.
- Manage the preschool’s social media platforms, ensuring engaging and consistent content.
- Handle media inquiries and foster relationships with local and regional media outlets.
- **Community Engagement**:
- Organize and participate in community events, open houses, and other promotional activities.
- Build and maintain relationships with parents, local businesses, and community organizations.
- Coordinate volunteer opportunities and community service projects involving the preschool.
- **Marketing and Promotion**:
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and campaigns.
- Oversee the production of brochures, flyers, and other marketing collateral.
- Manage the preschool’s website content, ensuring it is up-to-date and reflective of the school’s brand.
- **Crisis Management**:
- Develop and implement crisis communication plans.
- Act as the primary spokesperson during crisis situations, ensuring clear and effective communication.
- **Event Management**:
- Plan and execute school events, such as annual day celebrations, parent-teacher meetings, and cultural programs.
- Ensure proper media coverage for school events and activities.
- **Reporting and Analytics**:
- Monitor and report on PR activities, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Conduct surveys and gather feedback from parents and community members to assess the effectiveness of PR strategies.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 0-5 years of experience in public relations, preferably in an educational setting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships.
- Proficiency in social media management and content creation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong organizational and event planning skills.
